Weave the rope through the E-Zee lock holes to give you more rope to work with. Simply pull the rope up and away from the sliding piece (it will be positioned above the E-Zee lock) until you have created a loop. You may need to hold the sliding piece firmly to pull the rope. Continue to pull the rope through until there is enough to go around your waist or body. The closer the E-Zee lock is to the hook, the shorter that the leash will be. The full length of the leash is 7.8ft. Measure the circumference across your body or around your waist and deduct that from the full length. This will give you an idea of how long the leash will be from you to your dog.

You can push the button on the E-Zee lock to detach the two ends which will allow you to tether the leash to a table, tree, bench, pole etc.

The sliding piece is intended to be used when getting the leash on and off for every use and to create a handle when needed. You should use it to tighten the leash to your body and to loosen the leash to remove it. The leash is intended to go over the head when getting it on and off. 

You can attach your hook to this loop so that you are not holding or dragging your leash when letting your dog off leash. It also helps shorten the leash if you are hanging it at home.

Yes, the leash can be used for dogs of all sizes. Please keep in mind your dog's walking habits. If they are heavy pullers, you may not find this leash to be comfortable for you. 

Yes, simply hand wash with mild dish soap and water, then air dry. We suggest using the soft side of a sponge to scrub any areas.
