Decided to give this toy a try because of its cute design and the possibility of using it as an enrichment toy for my two dogs who have outsmarted all their previous puzzle treat toys. It took each dog about 30 minutes to get a piece of rabbit sausage out of the banana. Very cool to see my dogs problem solving in action. Very sturdy design and a good challenge for bored dogs.
I have a rat terrier. He is also a genius. I've bought all kinds of toys and puzzles for him (you can even see one of his puzzles in my pic) but he masters them all in under 30 minutes. While this banana toy isn't a puzzle, it's the perfect size for him. What's best is that the treat slot is so narrow my dog is challenged by trying to get treats out of the toy. I put small cheese slices, carrots, milk bones, and greenies in it and it does keep him occupied for up to 15 minutes at a time, which is outstanding for my little genius.
This is a repeat purchase as it’s something that Pedro adores. As a young pup (he is a rescue from a terrible situation) he didn't eat anything. Food was something he was basically terrified of. The Banana saved him - we would stuff it with his dinner and turn it into a game. Hide and seek - catch anything fun and then he would slowly eat the dinner while chewing on the toy. Now i can stuff treats in it or yoghurt and freeze it for some chill time. Best of all he now loves his dinner and eats normally!
